1. Data processed
No account is required, and the operator does not collect names, email addresses, precise location, photos or contacts. Referrals form one independent chain for each operator-issued initial code: each device may receive once, and each chain’s current holder may refer one next person once. The server processes a one-way hash of the OS device identifier, referral relationships, redemption state and the assigned official store code. The raw device identifier is not transmitted.
2. Data stored on the device
Favorites, browsing history, unit and appearance preferences, and the last store-verified special-thread entitlement are stored locally for app functionality and are not sent with searches.
3. Advertising and external links
The free and referral-code editions show Google AdMob ads outside the Calculator. From iOS app version 1.0.9, personalized ads are requested only with tracking permission and applicable ad consent; otherwise non-personalized ads are requested. Google’s ad SDK may process device identifiers, IP address and ad interactions for ad delivery, fraud prevention and delivery measurement. Without tracking permission or applicable ad consent, personalized ads are not requested. The one-time purchase removes banner ads. Optional sponsored product-search links may open Amazon; favorites, browsing history and search history are not sent to those links.
4. App updates
App updates are delivered through the App Store. The app does not contact a separate update service.
5. Referral, promotion codes and purchases
The server maintains the same number of independent chains as the initial codes issued by the operator, with exactly one active code in each chain. After each successful referral, it replaces only that chain’s code for the new holder and immediately invalidates the redeemed code. Device registration and a one-time purchase do not create a chain or issue a referral code or referral rights. A referred device receives an available official Apple or Google store code. The store processes redemption, store account and payment information; the operator does not receive store account or payment details.
6. Retention and deletion
Local data can be deleted in Settings or by removing the app. Referral hashes, relationships and redemption state are retained while the referral programme operates to prevent duplicate use. Contact support to request deletion. Store purchase records follow the store policy.
